Easy DIY Skincare Treatments for Glowing, Healthy Skin

Here I have got for you a DIY skincare routine which reduces fine lines. Yes, it's easy on your pocket, great for your skin and you can make it at home. This way you get to take control of what you put on your skin, get a glowing skin and save money in the process.


Let's get started:


1: Know your skin type: Before you start, know your skin type. Find out is it oily, dry, sensitive or mixed. Knowing your skin type allows you to use products that are suitable for your skin.

Here are few homemade beauty products you can use in your skincare routine:


1- Sugar body scrub for exfoliating:


Try this sugar scrub to exfoliate your skin:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar.

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil

  • 20-30 drops of essential oil of your choice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and coconut oil. For face scrub replace sugar with oatmeal.

  2. If desired, add in essential oils and mix until well combined.

  3. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container.

  4. To use, massage a small amount of the scrub onto damp skin in circular motions, focusing on rough areas such as your elbows, knees, and heels.

  5. Rinse off with warm water, and pat dry.

This sugar scrub is gentle enough to use on your face as well, but it's recommended for body. Use it once or twice a week as over exfoliation can cause irritation.


You can also use brown sugar instead of white sugar, and you can add any other ingredients that you like honey, lemon juice, based on your skin type.


This simple and easy to make scrub will leave your skin feeling smooth, soft and refreshed. Don't forget to store it in an airtight container and use it within a month.


Honey and turmeric face mask for brightening:


This honey and turmeric face mask is best suited for dry skin. It brightens up and even out your skin tone:

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 2 teaspoons curd

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

In a small bowl, mix together the honey, curd and turmeric powder.

  1. If you want to add some extra brightening properties, you can add a teaspoon of lemon juice to the mixture.

  2. Apply the mask to your face, being careful to avoid the eye area.

  3. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Rinse off with warm water and pat your face dry.

Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which can help to reduce redness and brighten your skin. Honey is also a great ingredient for the skin as it has antibacterial properties and also moisturizes.

It's recommended to use this mask once or twice a week. If you have sensitive skin, you can start with a small amount of turmeric and observe your skin's reaction before increasing the amount.

Aloe vera and coconut oil moisturizer:


You can make the Aloe vera and coconut oil moisturizer at home to keep your skin hydrated and nourished:

  3. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container.

Rosewater and witch hazel toner:

  • 1/2 cup witch hazel

  3. Transfer the mixture to a spray bottle.

  4. To use, spray a small amount of the toner onto your face after cleansing and before moisturizing.
